Traditional Margarita

When it comes to margarita recipes, it really doesn't get any better than the traditional. Full in flavor with just a little bit of a kick from the tequila, this recipe is great for entertaining and is sure to please. The ingredients needed for this recipe are two ounces of 100% agave tequila, an ounce of Cointreau, an ounce of freshly squeezed lime juice, and salt for garnish. This cocktail is traditionally served on the rocks, but can also be frozen if desired.
Start by filling a cocktail mixer with ice before adding the tequila, Cointreau, and lime juice. Shake well until all ingredients are blended. Then, take a lime wedge and run it across the rim of a margarita glass before dipping the glass in salt to cover the rim. Pour the margarita mixture from the cocktail shaker into the margarita glass and enjoy!

Mocktail Margarita
Of course, not everybody wants to enjoy a margarita with the kick and burn of the alcohol. For entertaining, it can be helpful to also offer up a mocktail margarita recipe that doesn't include alcohol. This can be an especially great idea for those who will have children in attendance. To craft a mocktail strawberry margarita, start with a pound of fresh strawberries, a half cup of orange juice, a half cup of sparkling water, and a quarter cup of lime juice. Sugar or salt, along with freshly cut lime wedges, can also be used for garnish.
